| Well, Nikki, I am also torn; it seems like going to the soccer game will end up in a much more expensive weekend (once we add in the ticket and the extra train ride), with alot of time spent commuting as opposed to actually seeing things. As cool as I think it would be I really want to be able to spend more than just our field trip day exploring Siena - if we go to Milan on the 3rd then we won`t get much chance to. I`m not much of a sports fan so I think I`m opting to stay in Siena - unless, of course, everyone else goes to Milan and I`m left without someone to share my room Either way I think we have a bit of time to decide still o we can think about it and discuss it next thursday. | |

| Hey Ian,
(sorry, I had to force myself off of here last night to get some studying done for an exam this morning).
Anyway, I think I'd rather not skip if possible so the 23.00 train you mentioned sounds good to me. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle the language courses and since it is quite condensed I don't really want to take any chances. It's good to hear I'm not alone in that. And the length and timing of that trip works out well since we aren't leaving Milan or getting back to Cortona at crazy times. It should make for a decent night's sleep still, even with whatever transfers might be involved.

| Hey guys,
I know Dominika and I are still planning on staying in Siena for the entire weekend. I really want to see Siena because we probably won't get back there. I'm still booked in at the hostel through sunday. If any of you are in the art history class remember that there is a paper and midterm on the thursday. This kind of helped me determine if I was going to make the trek to Milan or not. I figured that monday should probably be designated towards studying for that stuff. Hope this helps you (Nikki and Stephy mostly) decide what to do! If you stay in SIena you will have fellow travelling buddies!

| Hi Guys, I will be staying in siena for the whole weekend too. I'm not much of a soccer fan and would rather stay in siena for the weekend, so you will have people to stay with. I cant remember exactly since there's been so many rooms booked lately but i think Barbaras in my room and i havent heard from her that she was heading for Milan, so that makes another! | |

| HEy guys I don't know if I was able to manouevre my way around the Italian soccer league page correctly but I think I found a game in Rome on the 28th of January versus Siena. I know that a fieldtrip takes us to Rome already this weekend. Does anyone think that this may be a better game to go to? Or possibly just another one to hit? Ian and Gabriella help me out on this one. I don't really understand the schedule all that well. | |

| hey marissa
the main reason why i am going to milan to see the game(s) is b/c my favorite team is from Milan and i wanna see them play in their home stadium. i know Gabriella's fav team is Roma so maybe she would be interested in that game? i plan to go to milan twice to see my team play, as well as see them play else where as well probably

| Ian, I'll room with ya in whichever hostel works out best. I haven't been able to spend much time looking at this stuff the last few days so if you want to make that call go ahead.
As for which day I get to Milan, I was thinking I'd still go to Siena even though I don't have the field trip there and just hang out with people anyways. What are other non-fieldtrip people doing? Still going to Siena or just straight to Milan? So I guess, as per Elise's summary earlier in this thread, I'll be in Siena for the night of the 2nd, train to Milan on the 3rd and stay there, then come back after the game on the 4th. I'm open to changes with this though, if need be.
And still, I'm not yet booked in any hostels (Siena or Milan) so I guess I better get that taken care of soon. If you end up booking a room, Ian, I'd be happy to take a spot in it. Otherwise I'll try to book something tonight or tomorrow.

| Dave I think most people are in the art history class. Last time I checked there were 30 of the 36 people in it!!! It would be fun if even the non fieldtrip people could make it out to Siena. | |

| I definitely would like to go to the game as planned on the 4th of February. It looks like I might not have anyone to stay with though if most people do not want to go to this game. I do not have anywhere to stay in milan as of yet. Elise I am in the same boat as you for the art history midterm and paper but I figure we have time on the train as well. If I have extra money then the game in Rome on the 28th of January sounds awesome to me since Roma is my fave team. Plus it is not too far from Rome to Cortona and back again. How about this then if we have people that are planning to stay in Siena the weekend of the 4th which it looks like we do would these people want to come to the Roma game with me on the 28th of January and then I too could just stay and hang out Siena with you guys that weekend in february. As long as I get to see at least one game of Roma then its all good. Let me know everyone. ciao for now | |

it's completely up to you. if you'd still like to try to make it to Milan for that game, i could try to contact the hostel Maria and i are staying at, to see if we can add you to our room.

| Gabriella- I'd be up for the game in Rome. I had wanted to go to the Milan one but decided against it so this is a good alternative for me. Dont base your decision to of whether or not to go to Milan on me though. I'm sure lots of people (including those not on this forum) will be up for one or both of these games! | |
