| hey everyone, so I looked up the Soccer game in January on the 28th in Rome. Sounds like a totally awesome plan and will be less travel time for everyone who is planning to stay in siena for the weekend of the milan game. For art his students we have a midterm on the 8th of February so this game may be better. Well I want to go to one game at least. Let me know what everyone thinks about this game as an option instead of the milan game. talk soon Gabriella | |

| I'm on a fieldtrip to Rome on Jan.26 and could stay until the game. If your not on that fieldtrip, I was wondering if you wanted to go and tour Rome with me that weekend? | |

| Classics fieldtrip? cuz I'm on that one as well and would be up for travelling around Rome and then going to the game. This would in fact work better cuz on the 8th of feb there is the art history midterm I need to study for. | |

| Yes, me too, me too! I keep thinking of all these other things that I want to see in Rome so would love some extra time there. Also, does anyone know anything about Vatican City? Like is the general public allowed there at any time, where exactly is it, and can I meet the Pope?! (hehe, I think I know the answer to that one) P.S. I`m planning on re-reading Angels and Demons, and The DaVinci Code before I go so I can follow their footsteps and live the story myself! (yes, I am aware that I am a total loser ) | |

| Stephy join the club!!! Nikki and I were talking about that because we are also Dan Brown's fans. I think this would be wonderful but I am only going to be able to go to one game, and considering the responses from my italian friends over here (theryre very jealous and are telling me what to do/not to do) I think its a one in a life time opportunity (at least for me) to go to the Milan/Rome game. But I am up for touring in Rome after the fieldtrip.. not sure if I am on it or not.. and going to the Vatican (I promised my grandma that I would seek every single corner of the city and of St Peter's) Believe me Stephy I have thought of meeting the Pope before and I have wondered what I would say to him. As per visiting hours, prices, etc.. i have no idea. All I know is that you are not allowed to go in with a lot of skin exposure (i.e. no tanks, mini skirts, etc...) | |

| Agreed, sounds like about the best weekend ever. Particularly since the vatican will be so crazy when we arrive in Janurary. Indeed, places to stay...Gabriella, didn't it say in the handbook that Gulliver's house was exceptional...near the train station perhaps not in the heart of the city...not that I know a thing about the layout of the city of rome...yet | |

| Ok, so here are a few hostels that have rooms available, are cheap, have good ratings, and look nice: The Yellow, The Roma Inn, Litus Roma, and Hostel Alessandro Downtown (you can view them all on www.hostels.com). I don`t know whether we should look at something right downtown so there is minimal bus-taking, or towards the outskirts so it is quieter. I guess we should stay somewhere that is close to the places we want to explore - I`m going to try and track down a legible map of Rome and it`s surroundings... | |

| Uh, if you give me the information regarding the night ( and the event ) that you two ( Gabriella and Elise) are talking about, I would be interested in being the third person for that room. I am so out of it with regards to what you're talking about but as long as it works with my schedule, I will jump on the chance for a room.
Thank you for understanding my food crisis Elise!! ( No food yet...)

| So I booked the room for the four of us elise...I booked for the night of the 26th and 27th, I figured that we would probably head home right after the game to get ready for classes and such. If it is a must to stay the extra night let me know and I will try to contact the hostel. Awesome this game will be so much fun and touring Rome.
ciao ciao my friends, Gabriella
